The area to which the project contributes: RES.2.1.5 Support Measure for the Implementation of Regional Development Strategies (Ministry of Regional Development and Ministry of Agriculture).
Implementing unit: National Support Services Centre (decision granting the application with an ancillary condition 08.08.2025 No 11.3-1/25/3791). The subsidiary condition is the submission of a construction project for works at least at the basic design stage to RTK by 30.10.2025 at the latest.
Project summary: The Valga Cultural Centre has reconstructed the Oval Hall and created conditions for cinema screenings. The acoustics and lighting have been improved. The oval hall and the theatre hall are soundproofed with new soundproof doors. The aim of the project is to improve the technical basis of the building in order to create high quality conditions for public service and cultural experiences in the Valga Cultural Centre.
Project objective and results: The project has resulted in the reconstruction of the oval hall. The oval hall and the theatre hall have been fitted with fire and soundproof doors. The acoustics have been improved thanks to the installation of curtains on the slats in the theatre and oval hall. The lighting in the Oval Hall has been upgraded and is more energy efficient. The activities of this project will make it possible to move the cinema equipment from the theatre to the cinema room in the oval hall. No new equipment will be purchased.
The carpeting in the gallery on the 2nd floor has been replaced, which also acts as a sound absorbing and acoustic effect.

- Grant 65,88 % (EUR): 110 800,00
- Minimum own contribution: 57 396,82
