At the Valga municipality government meeting on 18 September, grants of €24 500 were allocated to sports clubs for young people in Valga municipality to pay coaches. The grant is intended to cover the work of professionally qualified coaches for the period October to December 2025.
The same meeting also confirmed the acceptance of the applications for a sports event organisation grant for a total amount of €4,432 received by the deadline of 21 August. With the help of the grants, the following sports competitions will take place in Valga municipality: the XXVIII Valga-Valka People's Run, the Enduro Magnifico, the Jaan Lattiku Run-Cross 2025, the winter Christmas competition of the „Maret-Sport“ sports club, the Warrior Autumn Tournament 2025, the Warrior Cup 2025/26, the Valga municipality orienteering days and the Viktoria Volleyball Club Viktoria Series 2025/2026.
