On 14 October, a seminar on money wisdom was held at the Cultural Centre of Valga, which brought together residents from all over Valga municipality interested in financial matters.
The aim of the seminar was to provide people with practical knowledge on how to organise their finances more consciously and confidently - whether it's everyday budgeting, saving or buying a home.
Representatives of Coop Bank shared their knowledge at the seminar:
Karel Parve, Head of Private Banking and Member of the Board, who spoke about Coop Bank's role in promoting Estonian life and the importance of financial wisdom;
Bret Metsküla, Collection Product Manager, who shared tips on how to set and stick to a budget;
Diana Winter, Team Leader of the Private Lending Specialists Team, who presented the opportunities for home purchase and renovation in small towns and villages.
Karel Parve, Head of Private Banking at Coop Pank, said he is pleased that achieving and maintaining financial well-being is important to the people of Valga. "At the seminar, we talked about personal budgeting as well as various measures to make it easier to buy and renovate a home, both in Valga and in the surrounding rural settlements. You can certainly ask for advice and clarification on these topics at our pop-up office in Valga, where everyone is welcome," said Parve.
"Money wisdom is an important topic for everyone, regardless of where they live. It is very positive to see that Coop Bank is also paying attention to Valga and helping people to improve their knowledge. In addition, Coop Pank is the only bank that has a physical branch in Valga - this is a real asset for our community," said Andero Ojamets, Communications Manager of Valga Municipality.
The seminar participants appreciated the practical advice of the speakers and the opportunity to ask questions directly to bank specialists. The event offered a varied and educational discussion on financial behaviour, saving habits and ways to finance home renovations.
Coop Pank's pop-up office in Valga is open every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at the Valga Museum from 11.00-16.00.
