Your role is..
..as a municipality architect to be a key player in guiding the spatial development of Valga municipality. Your work will help shape an environment that is good to live, work and move around in. You will be involved in planning and designing projects, providing architectural guidance and ensuring that the spatial development of the municipality is holistic and well thought-out.
Your main tasks will be:
participation in the development of the municipality's spatial development visions and strategies;
proposing actions and strategies to guide architectural activities;
participation in the preparation of development plans, general and detailed plans and design conditions;
coordination of design works commissioned by the municipality;
checking the conformity of building projects and plans and assessing architectural solutions;
drafting architectural conditions for the basic design and planning documents;
organising architectural competitions and drawing up the terms of competition;
welcoming citizens and advising them on matters relating to their work.
We expect you to:
- a higher education degree in architecture, landscape architecture or civil engineering at Master's level (or equivalent);
- very good knowledge of Estonian and good written and spoken English;
- ability to use computer programmes and databases;
- public speaking and argumentation skills;
- initiative, creativity and determination;
- willingness to work in a team and good communication skills;
- a sense of duty, punctuality and the ability to work hard.
