Project summary: As a result of the project, the Lüllemäe school building has improved energy efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, reduced the energy supplied to the building and the cost of running the building, brought the indoor climate of the school building up to modern standards and introduced a solar power plant as a renewable energy source.
The aim and outcome of the project: The aim is to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce the energy supplied to the building and the building maintenance costs, bring the indoor climate of the buildings up to standard and introduce renewable energy through the renovation of the Lüllemäe Primary School building.
As a result of the project, the following energy efficiency works have been carried out:
- Installed ventilation with heat recovery (SFP=1.6; heat recovery 80%) air exchange 3 l/s m2;
- Renewable energy (solar plant) - 30 kW PEJ, with a production of 25.5 MWh per year and the capacity to use electricity to heat domestic hot water through storage tanks;
- External walls are insulated with thermal conductivity: external wall - U=0.17 W/m²K; attic crawl space - U= 0.1 W/m²K, (lobby - 0.1W/m²K);
- All windows have been replaced - U=0.8 W/m²K; there is solar control glass to prevent overheating in summer + external ventilation during use, with cooling battery if necessary;
- Reconstructed floors on the surface U=0.32W/m²K, Lobby 0.15 W/m²K;
- Updated school lighting: LED lighting.
Project budget:
Eligible costs of the project (EUR): 1 504 440
Max amount of the grant (EUR): 1 053 108 (rate 70%)
Minimum amount of own contribution (EUR): 451 332 (min rate 30%).
Co-funded by the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) (Modernisation Fund).).
