The aim of the action is to improve the accessibility and quality of public services by organising services in a modern way, taking into account the demographic decline, ageing and the needs of the target population, and by encouraging local authorities to cooperate in the implementation of initiatives for the development of effective, integrated public services and service networks, while ensuring equal treatment and accessibility for different social groups.

Project summary: Renovation of the Valga Music School building in a heritage-listed area to provide better quality public services in the cohesive urban space of Valga. The project will be implemented in cooperation with the Valga Culture and Leisure Centre. It will also involve the EELK Valga Peetri-Luke parish (Jaani Church), the music school's closest neighbour, with whom the music school has organised joint cultural events for decades. Cross-border cooperation will be carried out with the municipality of Valka (Latvia), whose role in the project will be to exchange and disseminate information to the population of Valka, in order to introduce people to the opportunities of the Valga Music School to participate in recreational education/activities and cultural events.
The aim and outcome of the project: The aim of the project is to modernise a listed building - the Valga Music School - in order to provide high quality public services to a wider audience. The renovation of the building will ensure accessibility, the required indoor climate, a better room programme and soundproofed music classes, space for new public services for a wider target group, an open-air pavilion in the courtyard for public use. Sound, lighting and video equipment and an outdoor screen will be installed.
